President/Volunteer Coordinator
Nancy is a longtime sea turtle lover who began volunteering with the WBSTP in 1995. She is originally from West Virginia, and owns and operates D&N Wrecker Service in Wilmington.
After living on the N.C. coast for more than 10 years, Nancy learned about the recently founded WBSTP. She never knew sea turtles nested on our beach and could not wait to get involved. At the end of her first summer of volunteering, she was hooked. Nancy is grateful for the opportunity to work with these amazing animals and all the volunteers she has befriended.
Nancy is the legal conservation permit holder for sea turtle conservation work in Wrightsville Beach and she is supported by a volunteer board of directors.
